I picked this picture to discribe how I felt about Matt and how he traveled the world dancing. I thought of the overlapping hexagons as the people and the bright colors of how everyone can be different and still bueatiful at the same time.

My respond to the "Compliment Guys"

I really loved the idea of having people stand outside and compliment people. I really think that some of the people at our school should try it. Thanks to this article I am inspired to try and compliment people during the day.It helps the community because it makes everyone feel better and brightens their day. Even if their having a horrible week a compliment or even a smile makes everything seem better. Trust me I know. Last but not least it helps the world bye spreading the love. Kinda like that song for the coke commercial.

My Name

The picture I chose that best described my name was:
I chose this photo to describe my name because my name is formal but at the same time flowing like a river when my Sister or I say it.

Madelene, It always makes me mad when people call me that. It's what my mom says when she's angry, "Madelene Ann Miller!" Well that or "Young lady!" But it's different when my sister or I say it. We have a certain flow like a river making it's way to the sea. Even so I would rather be called Maddie.
My Dad wanted to name me Hannah but I can't imagine ME be called Hannah. To me Hannah sounds to much like a fruit, I guess it might be because of "Banana" but I think it's a reflex. I guess my name's not that bad, I mean it has it's pluses. One is that there are so many nicknames to Madelene like; Matty, Maddie, and even my sister, Emma, calls me Mads. She's the only one who could get away with it though. And there are 63 forms of Madelene out there! 63! AND My name name means "from Magdala" and "Magdala" is a place in the bible! So that means my names has a connection to the bible. Which gives it a kind of realign ascpet.

"Ugh", Madelene, Is so formal and it's super long. So Long. So Formal. Maybe one day I'll be Madelene. But for now call me Maddie it'll save us all a few minutes.

My Quote

The reason I chose ,"Thought the looking glass" From Alice in wonderland, for my journey quote was because the whole book is about Alce going in a journey though the dream world of Wonderland.

. What piece of work and learning are you most proud? Explain. I am most proud of the Egyptian diary entries because even though it wasn't my best peace of work I thought I tried my hardest.

2. What were your greatest challenges? Explain. Organization, The first half of the year I wasn't really tring to be organizied and was slacking off but toward the end of the year my dad and I made a bet and i started to get better grades.

3. Reflecting on your growth this year, what did you learn about yourself as a learner? That I can get good grades if I try and that I learn well when I see what I am learning instead of just hearing about it.

reply to iskl rewired

I think we can save the earth by start with ourselfs. In stead of go out and trying to change others. We should change our selfs by reducing the amount of plastic we use, but if it's to late for that we can just recycle the products that can be recylced. I have had a decusion with my friend on this topic and we both agree that we hate when people say "We should stop using oil!" When they won't stop useing their cars which runs on oil. I think that people are trying to much to invent electronics when they could even think about what they can do for our earth. Instead of using time to think about what to get when you go to the mall we should think of a new biofuel to use instead of oil.

Malaysia Week

A couple of weeks a weeks ago a group of people went to the jungle to find the true meaning of belum. We visited the orang asli people. we learned a bout their blow darts and we also taught the children to draw. We decided that, that was not the meaning of belum so we went on a hike at night. We learned to use all of our other sences but that two was not the true meaning of belum so we went bamboo rafting. I eventually got so feed up with the pace we were going that I got off the raft and swam the raft until the jungle people told me to stop. That was not the meaning either. We thought we were never going to find the true meaning until Zareef told me that belum means not yet in bahasa mayla.

New Year Resolutions

I celebrated new years 12 days ago. I had a fantastic time at my neighbor house while we watched the fireworks. I have a lot of things to do or improve this year but a few are more important for me to do before next year. The following are my 5 top resolutions.
1. Meet new people
2. Try something new
3. Get better grades
4. Finish any books I read
5. Save my money

These resolutions are important to me because they give me a goal for the year and makes me try my hardest and not just lazy off. I think it is also important to have hopes so here are some of mine.
       1. I hope that fighting stops
       2. I hope that USA goes green
                                                                     Bye, Maddie
